Lake Tapps is small city located in the shadow of beautiful Mt. Rainier and one of my favorite summer hot spots! Lake Tapps offers year-round fun, which my family and I take advantage of as often as possible! We love to spend long summer days playing in the boat, swimming and playing at one of the many parks that surround the lake. In the winter (weather permitting) we love to paddleboard or kayak around the lake as well. The beautiful scenery allows me to practice my photography skills and truly relish in the few quiet moments a year when I feel like I am the only person on the water.
Even though our family spends the most time near Lake Tapps in the summer, we seem to be visiting the area for one reason or another all year round. In late summer ‘The Washington Midsummer Renaissance Faire’ comes to town and a few short weeks later we seem to make multiple trips to the best pumpkin patch around, Maris Farms! Lake Tapps is in close proximity to Lakeland Hills, where we often meet up with friends for dinner or late-night drinks. The Rock - Wood Fired Kitchen and Puerto Vallarta are both family favorites and have great “happy hours” for the occasional date night!
